the academy elects actors/directors whatever. you can't campaign yourself. hence the name, the academy awards. the academy is like, all the SAG directors or something, i forget, but a few of my friends parents are in it because theyre directors.How does a studio or an actor themself, campaign for an Oscar?
Actually you dont campaign yourself for an Oscar...you are nominated..and then the board gets to pick.But to get nominated you have to act or record a very good movie...one that will bust the charts...Good Luck..
