the old joke about Reagan was his famous line ';watch my lips, no new taxes';. and of course, after he gets into office, that became false.


I have very little confidence in persons who say they are 'BETTER' because THEY won't raise taxes.


You can use the word bold, or the word honest. Obama isn't hiding some agenda. Taxes are part of life, and IN THE LONG RUN, getting the country back on track can eventually mean a more stable and wise budget. That can LEAD to less taxes and using money MORE EFFICIENTLY.


Never mind the taxes. McCain has already shown enough, in other ways, that he is shifty and out for himself. What other presidential candidate ran a campaign that boldly presented his desire to raise taxes besides Obama?
