Would a public awareness campaign informing people of how to save gas be worth the effort?

I see a lot of people accelerating quickly whenever they pull out. The more you accelerate, the more gas you use. It is not a linear relationship. Has anyone ever seen a study on the subject?Would a public awareness campaign informing people of how to save gas be worth the effort?
Of course its worth the effort! Make it interesting make it catch their attention! Use things that affect their life daily! You should encourage people to walk more or bike more often too that would help save the planet.Would a public awareness campaign informing people of how to save gas be worth the effort?
it seems like a good idea but most of the world doesnt really care no offense

Heck, yeah! Saving money and the environment sounds like a win-win to me. I haven't seen a study but I'm sure there are some. It's pretty common knowledge that accelerating quickly uses more gas than accelerating slowly. I don't know about the relationship--it sounds linear to me :)

an awareness campaign is a good idea. make it interesting, not too pushy, and informative.
it would be a good idea and i know i dont do that anymore...i go at 2k rpm it saves me alot of gas and well go for it see what you can do
depending on the situation, you have to accelerate fast or else you'll get rear ended. besides, its loads of fun.
